Silk loungewear: freer than pajamas, easier to sell

The difference between loungewear and pajamas is whether you'd answer the door in it. Silk loungewear is cut looser and finished crisper — comfortable at home yet presentable on a video call. It is the fastest-growing silk category of the past two years, driven by couples' sets and men's sets.

Why couples' sets are worth doing

Couples' silk loungewear typically sells for 1.8-2x the price of a single set while production costs rise only about 20% (mainly one extra pattern and colorway management). Gift boxes for e-commerce, wedding favors for bridal clients, holiday editions for brands — the scenarios are ready-made.

What we can do: same fabric in two colors (one per partner), same fabric and color with two different patterns, plus embroidery of names or anniversaries on the collar or cuff.

Fabric choice for men's styles

For men we recommend 19 momme as the baseline. 16 momme reads thin and clings on male frames; 22-momme double-face satin feels the most premium but is warm in summer. So our men's sets are mainly 19-momme crepe satin, with 16-momme for short-sleeve summer styles.
